La Maison Troisgros — Ouche, France

Surrounded by vineyards and meadows, Maison Troisgros is more than just a five-star hotel — it’s home to the three-Michelin-starred Michel Troisgros. All 15 rooms feature contemporary style. The cuisine, dreamt up by father-and-son team Michel and César, ranges from oysters with sorrel and buckwheat to spicy Challans duck with raspberries.

Monochyle Mhor — Balquhidder, Scotland

This cute, pink, 14-room farmhouse hotel sits on the banks of Lochs Voil and Doyne. The on-site restaurant, run by philosopher-chef Tom Lewis, offers elevated dining in a cozy home setting, with a 2,000-acre sustainable farm, distilleries, and a century-old bakery nearby.

Blackberry Farm — Walland, Tennessee, USA

Tucked at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, Blackberry Farm spans 9,200 rolling acres with an on-site creamery, bakery, and charcuterie. Head chef Sarah Steffan churns out genuine Foothills Cuisine, paired with wines from the farm’s rich cellar. Known for epicurean workshops, cooking demonstrations, and wine events.

Tenku no Mori — Kyushu, Japan

Translated as “Forest in the Sky,” this incredibly secluded experience includes five villas in a mountain forest on Kyushu Island. Each villa has floor-to-ceiling windows, open-air baths, and panoramic views. Meals are served in guest rooms or al fresco, with ingredients sourced from the property’s terraced farm.

Babylonstroem — Franschhoek, South Africa

Located an hour outside Cape Town in the Franschhoek wine valley, this historic Cape Dutch farm features a deli, bakery, butchery, cheese room, and world-class wine tasting facility. An eight-acre garden grows everything served in the three restaurants, reflecting a “pick, clean, and serve” philosophy. 12 suites and cottages set adjacent to the garden.

Wanas Restaurant and Hotel — Knislinge, Sweden

Set on a large estate with one of the biggest organic dairy farms in Sweden, the 16th-century castle and sculpture park now houses a Nordic farm-to-table restaurant and 11-room sustainable hotel. The food — thanks to chef Linus — is a revelation in the middle of the countryside.

Casa Maria Luigia — Modena, Italy

World’s top chef Massimo Bottura’s country house emphasizes truly memorable meals in a refreshingly relaxed atmosphere. Each of the 12 rooms combines retro chic and minimalist design. Dinner is immersive theatre — chefs share memories to explain each dish’s inspiration. The nine-course tasting menu draws from Bottura’s triple Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana.
